St Georges Centre was formed in 1978 as the outreach of the Anglican and Methodist Parish of Whakatāne to provide a quality childcare service for families in Whakatāne and the surrounding area.

The Operation is divided into two areas:
1 Infant and Toddler Team – from 3 mths to approx. 2.5 – 3 yrs
2 Wesley Room – approx. from 2.5 – 3 yrs to 5 yrs
We offer 20 ECE and many families are eligible for WINZ subsidies.

We are committed to being a “home away from home” and encourage mutual and complementary relationships between the teachers, the children and family/whaanau and the wider community. We practice whanaungatanga where children are loved and nurtured and parents feel valued and comfortable.
